This End-User License Agreement (“Agreement”) is a contract between you (“you,” the “Customer”) and Aardvarks governing your use of the Aardvark service (the “Service”). By connecting an account to the Service or otherwise using it, you agree to this Agreement. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Aardvark is a bookkeeping-automation service. When you connect an accounting service such as QuickBooks Online, Aardvark reads your accounting data, prepares month-end close work, and presents proposed changes for your review. Aardvark accesses your accounting data on a read-only basis and does not create, modify, or delete records in your accounting service. A human review-and-approval step is a core part of the Service; proposed work is not treated as final until you approve it.
Subject to this Agreement, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to access and use the Service for your internal business purposes.
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes what data we access and how we protect it. You retain all rights to your data. You can revoke the Service’s access at any time from within the product.
Aardvark assists with bookkeeping tasks but does not provide accounting, tax, audit, or legal advice, and it does not replace the judgment of a qualified professional. You are responsible for the final accounting decisions made in your books.
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features of the Service. We aim to give reasonable notice of material changes to active customers.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR DATA, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM.
You may stop using the Service and disconnect your accounts at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach this Agreement. On termination, the rights granted here end and we will handle your data as described in the Privacy Policy.
Aardvark is an independent application and is not endorsed by or affiliated with Intuit Inc. QuickBooks is a trademark of Intuit Inc. Your use of QuickBooks remains governed by your agreement with Intuit.
This Agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Connecticut, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
We may update this Agreement and will post the updated version here with a revised effective date. Your continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the updated terms.
